I graduated in textile design but never really went into it as a career. I have always felt the need to be creative, and have always doodled. I like to draw on anything with a surface. I like my range of wood cut shapes that I illustrate on with fine pens and then glaze and turn into jewellery.

I'm really influenced by Scandanavian folk art and textile design form the 60s onwards, particularly Marimekko and the natural world around us be it fossils, lines on pebbles, dandelions etc.  I would love to go back to textile designing now as there are so many interesting designers around (I particularly like people like Orla Kiely, Cath Kidston, and Marimekko to name a few). Who knows what my next surface will be to doodle on?!
